Bunny Hill is our Best Start Family Hub for the North of Sunderland in South Hylton. It’s a friendly, easy-to-reach place where you and your family can get support, connect with services, and join in activities from pregnancy right through to age 19 (or up to 25 for young people with SEND).

Easy to find and fully accessible

We’re in the same building as Bunny Hill Primary Care Centre, with free parking and good bus links. Our hub is fully accessible, with step-free entrances, automatic doors, accessible toilets, baby change facilities and disabled parking.

Support for every stage: from pregnancy to early years and beyond

At Bunny Hill Best Start Family Hub, we’re here to support you from pregnancy through your child’s early years, helping you give them the very best start in life. Our Healthy Babies programme offers free support during pregnancy and throughout your baby’s first two years, giving you confidence, reassurance and guidance every step of the way.

We offer a variety of free, bookable and drop-in activities for families using play, music, sensory play, massage, singing, storytelling and more to help little ones thrive and learn and adults to bond and meet others. We also have a sensory room, and we offer support for parents and carers through breastfeeding groups, parenting courses and health advice from our NHS partners.

Alongside family-focused activities, we provide practical support such as welfare rights guidance, employment assistance and stop-smoking services – all in a welcoming environment.
