Sunderland Community Safety Hubs
Sunderland’s community safety hubs aim to enhance local safety by addressing anti-social behaviour through collaboration between the council, police, and community groups.
There are six hubs across Sunderland in the City Centre, Concord, Hendon, Hetton-le-Hole, Pennywell, and Southwick.

SAIL (Sunderland Altogether Improving Lives)
Multi-Agency project involving Sunderland Council, Police, Violence Reduction Unit, Targeted Youth Services, TFC, Social Care, Housing, Social Prescribing, Sunderland BID and wider partners. Working collaboratively to support children, families and individuals as well as reducing crime and anti-social behaviour, with the aims of making Sunderland a safer and more vibrant place. Safer Concord and Sulgrave
Our Washington hub is here to work with you and our partners including Northumbria Police, and Gentoo. We also work with community groups and local organisations. To tackle the issues that matter most in your neighbourhood. Find out more
HALO for a safer Hetton and Easington Lane
The Coalfields Community Safety hub is based in The Hetton Centre alongside HALO. Our hub is here to work with you and our partners including Northumbria Police, community groups and local organisations. To tackle the issues that matter most in your neighbourhood. Find out more
SARA (Southwick Altogether Raising Aspirations)
We support people in the Southwick Ward (Monkwearmouth, Carley Hill, Marley Pots and Southwick) by providing help, support and guidance to solve any issues they have. We also signpost to other organisations who can support and will help you through the whole process. Find out more
West Community Safety Team
The West Community Safety Hub is based in Pennywell Community Centre. Our hub is here to work with you and our partners including Northumbria Police, community groups and local organisations, to tackle the issues that matter most in your neighbourhood. Find out more
