In partnership with Sunderland City Council Groundwork North East & Cumbria are supporting tree and bulb planting in Millfield. There is an opportunity to help out planting some bulbs. Details are below as are contact details, get in touch if you like or just turn up.
All equipment will be provided as will some refreshments. All you need do is turn up in clothes you don’t mind getting a little dirty and footwear you don’t mind getting muddy (very muddy possibly). Arrive by start time if possible but anytime afterwards will do. A full briefing will be given, although the work isn’t difficult. So you are aware some bending down is required but not too much.
The ground is grass and muddy so this activity is not suitable for wheelchair users or those with mobility issues.
