Your Next Step – Community Employability Navigator

Need a helping hand to get back on track? The Community Employability Navigator project provides free, personalised support for Sunderland residents who are currently out of work and facing challenges that may be making it difficult to move forward. Whether you’re dealing with health issues, low confidence, caring responsibilities, financial pressures, housing concerns, or simply don’t know where to start, this service is here to help.
You’ll be supported by a dedicated Employability Navigator who will work alongside you to understand your goals, overcome barriers, and connect you with the right support at the right time. Rather than being passed from service to service, you’ll receive ongoing guidance and practical help throughout your journey.

The project offers:

• One-to-one support from a dedicated keyworker.
• Help with confidence building, motivation and life skills.
• Support to access training, volunteering and employment opportunities.
• Connections to health, wellbeing, housing, debt and community services.
• Digital inclusion support and help with job searching.
• Continued support even after moving into work.

Delivered in trusted community locations across Sunderland, including Washington, Coalfield communities, Hendon, Pallion and Ryhope, the project brings support directly into local neighbourhoods, making it easier for people to access the help they need.
