Strength and Movement Project CIC

Strength and Movement Project CIC is a community organisation focused on improving the health, fitness and wellbeing of residents across Sunderland. We deliver accessible movement sessions, confidence-building programmes, gentle activity groups, and support for people who want to become more active in a friendly, welcoming environment.

Our work is centred on helping individuals improve mobility, strength, mental wellbeing and quality of life, regardless of age, background or ability. We offer a range of community sessions including low-impact exercise, walking groups, functional fitness for beginners, and wellbeing support. Our approach is inclusive, non-judgemental and designed to support people who may lack confidence or feel unsure about accessing traditional fitness spaces.

We work with people with long-term health conditions, older adults, those returning to activity, and anyone looking to build healthier habits in a supportive setting. Our aim is to remove barriers to movement, reduce isolation, and help individuals take positive steps toward better health at their own pace.
