This means eating a wide variety of foods in the right proportions and consuming the right amount of food and drink to achieve and maintain a healthy body weight.
This awareness session covers:

- Providing advice to others on how to achieve a healthy and balanced diet
- National guidance on portion sizes and recommended calorie intake
- Different food groups and the impact on the body
- Food labelling
- Signposting to national and local resources
