Activities and workshops which aim to reduce dementia risk by promoting healthier lifestyles through nature-based activities.

The sessions, which form part of a co-operative project between Durham Wildlife Trust and Sunderland Council, offer a range of outdoor engagement activities aimed at those who may be experiencing issues related to dementia.

We will explore ways we can use outdoor interactions, lifestyle options and life hacks to help reduce the risk of dementia. We will also look at outdoor engagement as a coping mechanism to help promote brain health.

Willow weaving – We will learn how to weave willow into baskets using heritage craft techniques.
