Links with Nature Bat Walk at Herrington Country Park

Find out all about the secret world of our favourite night-time flyers: bats at Herrington Country Park.

Join Links with Nature at Herrington Country Park, one of our project greenspaces and come along in search for bats. We’ll be joined by Melissa from Durham Bat Group to find out all things bats. Learn about how they navigate and forage through the night by using a handheld device used by experts to identify and listen out for bats as they zoom past you.

We will meet by the Lake Car Park at Herrington Country Park. What3Words: ///exile.abode.goods

Please bring a torch, and wear suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy shoes.

This event is weather permitting (any adverse weather or weather warnings issued, ticketholders will be notified if event is cancelled).

Children attending must be supervised by their parent or guardian at all times.

Dogs are not permitted on this event. Service and medical assistance dogs are exempt.

Please note site facilities such as toilets will not be open at the time this event takes place.

Free car parking is available on site.
