Washington Village u3a (WVu3a) is a lively and friendly organisation for anyone who has finished working full-time. We offer more than 30 different activities for anyone who wants to make new friends, have fun and learn something new.  Each group is led by one of our members (all volunteers) and our monthly meeting has free tea and coffee, interesting speakers, updates on all our group activities plus a book/jigsaw swap. There are SO many interesting things to do at WVu3a! 

Physical activities: badminton, bowling, kurling, line dancing, Pickleball, snooker, Strollers, table tennis, Tai Chi, walking group

Social activities: coffee mornings, diners club, CAMEO (Come and Meet Each Other) group, monthly meetings, theatre group (trips to Sunderland Empire, Newcastle Theatre Royal, cinema, etc.) 

New hobbies/skills: bridge, creative writing, environment, family history, painting and drawing, quizzes, photography, reading, Spanish 

Music: Grins, Gigs and Giggles, My Generation Music or join our ukulele orchestra: “The Ukeholics”

Guests and new members are welcome to come free to one of our monthly meetings at The Stella, Windlass Ln, Washington NE37 1BH at 11.00am on the first Thursday of every month. WVu3a is part of a local u3a network with Washington, Wessington, Cestria (Chester-le-Street) and Houghton. We are a charity and part of u3a UK which has more than 1,000 u3as across the UK (www.u3auk.org)
