Come and join our Strength and Balance programme for anyone who has had a fall, is worried about falling over, or has problems with balance. The session includes specific exercises designed to improve balance, endurance, strength, and flexibility. Each class lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes. The class is followed by a cuppa, educational talks, and a chat.
Is the class right for me?
In order to take part in the classes, you should:
- Be in control of any long-term health conditions you may have.
- Be able to either walk independently with a stick, 3 or 4 wheel rollator.
- Be able to carry out standing exercises for a minimum of 5 minutes.
Session combination
You can combine this with GP circuits sessions and you will feel more confident taking part in physical activity. Your instructor will discuss a range of options that meet your needs and allow you to continue to be physically active.
