Age UK Sunderland are delivering free, impactful training!
Our free Ageism and Dementia Awareness training equips volunteers, carers, community workers, and non-healthcare professionals with essential skills to recognise early signs of dementia, challenge ageist stereotypes, and provide effective support. Through interactive workshops and real-world scenarios, you’ll gain practical tools to help those in need and connect them with local services.
Join us for a comprehensive training experience that not only raises awareness but empowers you to make a difference in your community.
The Ageism and Dementia Awareness Training covers key topics such as
- Introduction to Dementia
- Support Strategies for Dementia
- Prevention and Healthy Ageing
- Understanding Ageism
- Challenging Ageist Attitudes

Please note that failure to attend or cancel a minimum of 24 hours in advance of the training session will result in a £50 charge.
