Margaret’s Story: How Links for Life changed everything
Margaret’s story is just one example of how Links for Life helps people connect with their community to improve wellbeing.
Nine years ago, Margaret lost her husband and found herself feeling isolated. Living alone and no longer working, she was struggling —until she discovered Youth Almighty Project (YAP) through Links for Life Sunderland.
Now, Margaret is out five, sometimes six days a week, joining activities like craft and cuppa, and seated exercise.
“I’ve found a lot of new friends as well; the groups have saved my sanity!” she says.
