Breastfeeding Friendly Sunderland Workplace Pledge

As a Breastfeeding Friendly workplace, pledgees ensure all employees and volunteers understand their role in supporting the Breastfeeding Friendly Workplace Pledge.

This includes:

• Knowing that workplace regulations require employers to provide suitable facilities where pregnant and breastfeeding employees can rest
• Providing a private, hygienic and safe environment for breastfeeding women to express and store milk, as recommended by Health and Safety Executive (HSE)
• Ensuring that the organisation has a breastfeeding policy and all employee’s are aware of the policy
• Displaying the Breastfeeding Friendly Sunderland Workplace logo in a prominent location, so all employees are aware the workplace is part of the scheme
